LEBANON, OH -- After Ohio’s Senator JD Vance was selected to be former President Trump’s Vice Presidential nominee, Warren County’s state representative Adam Mathews attended Vance’s first rally in Middletown.

"The gymnasium and auditorium were filled, and hundreds more had to be turned away for an electric campaign event for the presidential race and for US Senate candidate Bernie Moreno," explained Mathews.

JD Vance who has been out on the campaign trail, kicked it off at his alma mater in southwest Ohio — Middletown. Mathews added that Vance has been in Warren County numerous times as both a candidate and Senator..."including the Lebanon Independence Day Parade," Mathews noted.

"I was so grateful to be able to bring friends with me and see even more in support,” said Mathews, adding that both this year's Presidential and the Ohio Senate race are very important.

In the most recent election, JD Vance endorsed Mathews, saying “State Rep. Adam Mathews is
a principled conservative representing Southwest Ohio. Adam is a staunch defender of life,
stands up for our workers and their families, and that's why today, I'm endorsing Adam for his
re-election campaign to the Ohio House of Representatives."

Mathews explained that while Trump/Vance is expected to win Ohio’s electoral college votes for president, he is still hard at work campaigning for Bernie Moreno for US Senate and Orlando Sonza for US Congress, both considered toss-up races.
