WARREN COUNTY, OH -- This summer, the Warren County Park District launched its seventh annual “100 Hours Outside” challenge. This year's challenge, which began on Memorial Day weekend and ended on Labor Day, saw a total of 142 kids finishing the challenge.
"The goal of this program is to encourage kids to unplug from technology during summer break, while fostering a love for nature, promoting physical activity, and strengthening community bonds through outdoor experiences," explained Shannon Pennington Naturalist and Communications Coordinator Warren County Park District
To recognize and celebrate those who complete this challenge, a special prize package was created for each child.
"We believe that providing tangible rewards will further inspire and motivate participants to embrace the outdoors," Pennington added.
