142 Kids Complete This Year's 100 Hours Outside Challenge

One of the prizes was a ticket for a parent to get in FREE at the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G so that child could participate in Junior Day also at no cost.

WARREN COUNTY, OH -- This summer, the Warren County Park District launched its seventh annual “100 Hours Outside” challenge. This year's challenge, which began on Memorial Day weekend and ended on Labor Day, saw a total of 142 kids finishing the challenge.

"The goal of this program is to encourage kids to unplug from technology during summer break, while fostering a love for nature, promoting physical activity, and strengthening community bonds through outdoor experiences," explained  Shannon Pennington Naturalist and Communications Coordinator Warren County Park District

To recognize and celebrate those who complete this challenge, a special prize package was created for each child. 

"We believe that providing tangible rewards will further inspire and motivate participants to embrace the outdoors," Pennington added.

Also, congratulations to Albert H, this year's GRAND PRIZE DRAWING WINNER. Albert will be receiving a four-pack of tickets to Dayton Dragons game, four kayak rentals from Loveland Paddlesports, and special prizes from Arrow Adventure and Wild Birds Unlimited!
