WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Warren County Board of Elections shows that a little over 21 percent of Warren County's registered voters came out to vote in this year's primary election held Tuesday May 5, 2026.
Out of the 175,050 registered voters, the board of elections counted 37,236 ballots, of which:
- 66.6% were Republican Ballots
- 26.7% were Democratic Ballots
- 6.1% were other, and
- 0.6% were Libertarian
Franklin Township's Precinct I had the highest voter turnout in the county with over 40% of its registered voters coming out to cast a ballot with Turtlecreek Township Precinct G coming in next with close to 39% of its registered voters coming out to vote.
Deerfield Township Precinct B and Deerfield Township Precinct DD both had the lowest voter turnout in the county with a little over 8% of their registered voters casting a ballot.
While the votes still need to be certified, the uncertified winners of Tuesday's election to represent their parties for either a County or District seat that represents Warren County and who will have challengers in the November General Election are:
REPRESENTATIVE TO CONGRESS (1st District) candidates:
- Dem Candidate: Greg Landsman
- Rep Candidate: Eric Conroy
- Lib Candidate: John D. Hancock
STATE SENATE (7th District) candidates:
- Dem Candidate: Cara Jacob
- Rep Candidate: Zach Haines
STATE REPRESENTATIVE (55th House) candidates:
- Dem Candidate: Paul Michael Kurtz
- Rep Candidate: C. Michelle Teska
- Lib Candidate:Philip L. Pirdy
STATE REPRESENTATIVE (56th House) candidates:
- Dem Candidate: Laalitya Acharya
- Rep Candidate: Adam Mathews
COUNTY COMMISSIONER candidates:
- Dem Candidate: Ian Logan
- Rep Candidate: Tom Grossman
- Lib Candidate: Katherine Bowles
Candidates who had challengers in the May 5th Primary Election, but do not have any challengers in the General Election are:
JUDGE COURT COMMON PLEAS (General Pleas):
- Rep Candidate: Gary A. Loxley
Member of the State Central Committee
Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party races were very close for the naming of the winner of the Member of the State Central Committee (Man).
- In the Democrat race William H. Wentz beat Josh Hendrickson by taking 50.76% of the votes in Warren County but in Hamilton County Hendrickson took the lead with 64.34% of the votes. At the end of the count Josh Hendrickson won by 2,471 votes.
- Josh Hendrickson with 10,372 votes (5,801 Hamilton County and 4,571 Warren County)
- William Wentz with 7,901 votes (3,189 Hamilton County and 4,712 Warren County)
- In the Republican race Jonathan Dever beat Christian Michael Mays by taking over 64% of the Hamilton County votes. But Mays was able to hold onto his seat by taking over 56% percent of Warren County votes. At the end of the county Mays won by 1.050 votes.
- Christian Michael Mays with 14,804 votes (2,373 Hamilton County and 12,431 Warren County)
- Jonathan Dever with 13,754 votes (4,304 Hamilton County and 9,450 Warren County)
