CARLISLE, OH — The excitement of a new fall sports season filled the Eddie Crowe Gymnasium on Friday, August 7, as student-athletes, coaches, families, and community members gathered for the school’s Fall Athletic Preview.

The event, which began at 7 p.m., provided an opportunity to recognize and introduce the school’s fall athletic teams while building enthusiasm for the upcoming season. The evening opened with a welcome to athletes, coaches, families, and fans, followed by performances from the CHS Pep Band featuring the Tomahawk Chop and the school Fight Song. Cheerleaders then energized the crowd with a spirited cheer and created a tunnel for the athletes to enter through.
Throughout the evening, each fall athletic program was individually recognized. Athletes were introduced by name before their coaches addressed the crowd, sharing information about their teams and the goals they hope to accomplish during the upcoming season.
The evening featured presentations of the following teams and groups:
● Cross Country
● Girls Tennis
● Boys Soccer
● Girls Soccer
● Volleyball
● Girls Golf
● Football
● Boys Golf
● Cheerleading
● Band Seniors
After each team was introduced, the athletes returned to the stands as the next team was called
forward. The format allowed each program to have its own moment in the spotlight while giving
fans an opportunity to meet the athletes representing their school this fall.
A special Senior Recognition concluded the evening. Following the team and band senior
recognitions, all senior athletes were invited for a special presentation honoring their dedication,
leadership, and contributions to their athletic programs.
The Fall Athletic Preview was designed not only to introduce the teams and their goals for the
upcoming season, but also to bring the athletic community together and create a memorable
experience for student-athletes.
“I look forward to making this a great tradition that athletes will look forward to attending
each year,” Sam Lee, Carlisle Athletic Director shared.
The Fall Athletic Preview demonstrated the strong sense of school spirit and community that
surrounds the school’s athletic programs. With a new season ahead, athletes and coaches are
ready to represent their school, compete with pride, and work toward the goals they have set for
the year.
The school wishes all of its fall athletic teams the best of luck as they begin their seasons and
looks forward to celebrating their accomplishments throughout the year.
