The Farm on Central, a local family-run farm in Carlisle, Ohio has recently been shut down until further notice after Warren County officials filed in court against them.

“Warren County officials have filed for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and injunctions against us, claiming we’re operating as a retail food establishment like McDonald’s or Kroger.” - via www.savefarmoncentral

The hearing took place yesterday, June 16th, at the Warren County Common Pleas Court. The judge granted the TRO, ultimately shutting down the farm until further notice.

“We’re in this for the long hall…all we do here is provide food for our community and that’s what we’re going to keep working at. Obviously the next couple weeks are going to be a little bit challenging…this will affect 25+ families in one way another cause their livelihood does come from the farm…We lost today but it’s not mean we’re down. We will continue to fight this.” - Farm on Central owner, Michael, via Instagram.
