KINGS MILL, OH --During the recent Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G's LPGA Tour held at TPC River's Bend, the tee off on hole #7 was the place to be during Tuesday evening's Pro-Am Pairings Party. Spectators gathered around to watch 15 Pros and 10 local high school girl golfers take on the $250,000 Hole In One Tide and Downy Perfect Shot Challenge.
And, two of the high school players chosen to participate in the challenge were from Warren County: Sydney Lewis and Ellie Sharp, both seniors at Kings High School
Last year, both girls participated in the challenge with three other members from their school team. "This year our coach said we had two spots, and since we were the two seniors on the team, we were asked," explained Ellie.
Kings High School Varsity Coach Brian “Bip” Parkhurst, who is in his 10th year of coaching girls golf, was there to support and cheer the girls on hoping that they would be the ones to take the win of the $250,000 check.
