MASON, OH -- Mercy Health announced in a Press Release on April 2, 2025 that it has reached "a new, multi-year commercial insurance agreement with Cigna that keeps all Mercy Health physician practices, acute care hospitals, urgent care centers, ambulatory surgical centers, and additional care sites in-network."

After several months of negotiations, we are pleased to announce a new agreement that ensures our patients’ access to affordable, compassionate care close to home,” said Leonardo Lozada, MD, Mercy Health Chief Clinical Officer—Cincinnati. “Having access to the providers you know and trust is essential for the health of our community, and we are grateful to our patients who entrust us with their care. We look forward to serving you for years to come.”
Mercy Health, stated it aims to have long-term agreements with all major payers, including Cigna. "This way patients can have seamless access to quality care in our community. We understand that the possibility of Mercy Health being out of network with Cigna has been difficult, and we want to express heartfelt gratitude to our patients for their grace and support as we diligently worked through these negotiations," stated the press release.
Mercy Health has been providing healthcare needs of residents for more than 160 years and stated it remains focused on continuing to focus on providing good help to all in need, especially those who are vulnerable and underserved.
Mercy Health noted that it looks forward to continuing "to invest in the health and well-being of our communities while preserving our continued ability to provide compassionate and accessible care to patients."
