SPRINGBORO, OH— Green Ambassador and Certified Naturalist, Mary Klene is proud to announce that she will be presenting at The 36th Annual National Service-Learning Conference (#SLC25), hosted by the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC), taking place March 26-28 in Saint Paul, MN. This premier event brings together hundreds of educators, students, nonprofit leaders and community partners to advance service-learning and youth leadership initiatives globally.
Klene will lead a session titled “Lessons Learned from Nature” that will explore how environmental principles can shape leadership, resilience and a better understanding of the environment. Drawing from her experience in conservation, beekeeping and environmental advocacy, she will also highlight nature-inspired strategies to incorporate the power of environmental stewardship into everyday education.
“I am honored to be part of this incredible convention. With the determination of students and educators, we are sure to create tangible solutions to heighten education and service worldwide,” said Klene, adding, “My session will explore the connection between the outdoors and education, highlighting how nature can be used as a tool for hands-on-learning, problem-solving and community engagement. By applying lessons from the natural world, we can develop a deeper understanding and passion for the world around us.”
