HARVEYSBURG, OH -- Despite the clouds and the rain, the Alex Ding Memorial Tournament triumphed as armored knights took its spectators back in time. Twenty-four full-contact armored combat teams collided at Renaissance Park for Cincinnati Siege: — a three-day spectacle co-hosted by the Ohio Renaissance Festival and the Cincinnati Barbarians in memory of the late Cincinnati Barbarian Alex Ding, who tragically passed in 2025.
Banner of the late Alex Siege welcomed spectators and fighters. This was steel-on-steel duels, 5v5 melees, and 12-on-12 melees. It wasn't cosplay. It was full sanctioned full-contact combat in real armor: the same type of dules that fill arenas overseas — and it was right here in Warren Couty.

The three days of combat were filled with emotion, noise, and great photo opportunities, which were caught by professional photographer David Klenk, who took 1,500 photos.
While we can't share all 1,500 photos, David is sharing his top 29 pick with the WarrenCountyPost.com readers...

Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 73 and low of 62 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Partly Cloudy in the morning, patchy light drizzle during the afternoon, patchy rain nearby in the evening, clear overnight.
