"Greek Day" At Carlisle Junior High

CARLISLE, OH -- This year was the 3rd year in a row that 7th grade students at Carlisle Junior High were able to participate in "Greek Day." In the morning students were sent through 7 stations where they did several hands-on activities related to Greek culture such as the Archimedes Screw, the Pythagorean Theorem, Clay Art works and a theatrical performance. Following the stations the students were able to sample Greek foods such as Gyros, grapes, olives, pita chips & hummus. To conclude the day the students were able to participate in several games related to Greek Olympics with the finale being the Great Chariot Race with a special guest appearance by Zeus (Mr Sprandel, 7th grade Social Studies teacher).
