Franklin Township's Cities of Franklin & Carlisle To Hold A One Day Historic Home Tour

FRANKLIN, OH -- The Carlisle Area Historical Society and Franklin Area Historical Society have scheduled a holiday historic home tour for Sat., Dec. 2, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The tour stops are in Franklin and Carlisle and include private homes, museums, historical societies and churches. Guests will be able to see gorgeous, historic spaces, as well as, have a chance to enjoy extras like cider, cookies, and carolers.

The tour begins at Franklin's Harding Museum, 302 Park Ave., Franklin, where tour goers will pick up a program, map, and wristband. After tour participants leave the Harding Museum, they're free to visit the tour stops in any order they wish. 

The Harding Museum has been professionally decorated for the holidays with the theme "All is calm, all is bright." The museum gift shop will be open during the afternoon; this year, the shop is showcasing works by local artisans and crafters.

The event is coordinated with the City of Franklin's Franklin in Lights Celebration, which will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 2 in downtown Franklin. Those with questions about the Holiday Home Tour should call (937) 746-8295.
