The community is invited to attend the dedication of the restored Springboro Orthodox Quaker Cemetery, celebrating the preservation of one of Springboro's historic burial grounds and honoring the generations of Quaker families whose lives helped shape the community.
The ceremony will commemorate the successful restoration of the historic cemetery, which dates to the late nineteenth century and serves as the final resting place for members of Springboro's Orthodox Quaker community. The program will include a brief history of the cemetery and the Orthodox Quaker tradition in Springboro, recognition of the volunteers and organizations that contributed to the restoration effort, and the formal dedication of the restored cemetery.
Following the ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to walk through the cemetery, view the restored grave markers, and learn more about the history of the site and the people buried there.
The event welcomes descendants of those interred in the cemetery, local residents, historians, preservation advocates, and anyone interested in Springboro's rich Quaker heritage.
