Similar to what newspapers in the 19th Century did the www.warrencountypost.com. will publish a chapter a day from the book Deceptions in the Air. This fictional book is a blend of reality and conspiracy with a mix of Biblical Prophecy. My hope is that you enjoy the story, while it puts a desire in your heart to seek Truth.

Chapter 38: The Phone

Alex had a plan. He waited till close to midnight before heading down to the lobby to find someone who looked friendly… trustworthy. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a couple, about his age, who looked as though they had been out strolling along the beach and were just coming in.

“How are the newlyweds?” a lady asked politely as Alex started to approach the couple.

“What?” Alex asked, looking confused.

“Aren’t you the man who was marrying the love of his life on the beach earlier this evening?” asked the woman who had just walked in with her husband.

“Yes. That was me… you saw us?” Alex asked, surprised.

“What a handsome couple the two of you make,” she smiled.

“Thank you…” Alex paused. “Can I ask you a favor?... My new wife, she’s a little mad at me and will not answer my phone calls. I think she blocked my number. Can I use your phone to text her a message that I’m sorry and will she please let me back in the room.”

“Oh, she has a temper,” the lady smiled. “Sure, you can use my phone.”

Alex pulled out Jack’s business card so he could text him the message, since the senator may have started tracking his or Bri’s phones.

DANGER... DO NOT ERASE … READ… U R N DANGER... HAVE BRI THROW AWAY FONE CHIP. I’LL EXPLAIN LATER. PLEASE TELL HER I LOVE HER… ALEX.

Alex hit send, then he erased the message from the nice lady’s phone.

“Thank you. You are a life saver… really, a true life saver.”

“No problem. Things will work out. They always do for those who love the Lord,” she smiled as she walked away.

That was a rather odd response, Alex thought as he headed back to the elevator.
