OREGONIA, OH -- Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness one of many alignment features and the genius design built in to the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Fort Ancient constructed by the indigenous ancestors of today's American Indians.
On October 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning, the Ohio History Connection has invited the public to witness the Maximum Northern Moonrise, a significant moment that occurs only once every 18.6 years marking the end of this lunar cycle.
The Warren County Astronomical Society will be on site with telescopes for public viewing, ready to answer questions. As a bonus, the Orionid Meteor shower will be peaking during this time, offering additional sights to enjoy.
This family-friendly event will feature activities both indoors and outdoors for all ages, and museum and gift shop will be open until 11 p.m.
Best of all, admission is free!
