FRANKLIN, OH --  The Franklin City Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley Blevins to the Board of Education. Blevins fills the vacancy left by Robert Knipper, who resigned last month. Blevins will serve the remainder of his term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Franklin, Blevins has been an active advocate for the district’s students, educators, and families. With a deep-rooted commitment to public education, she has served in various volunteer capacities, including as a youth sports coach, a Franklin Junior High football team volunteer, and a key organizer for the district’s levy campaign.

“I am honored to serve on the Franklin City School Board and to give back to the community that has shaped me,” said Blevins. “My goal is to work collaboratively to ensure every student has access to a high-quality education, and to support our educators as they continue to make a difference in the lives of our children.”

Blevins brings experience in both the public and legal sectors, currently serving as Deputy Clerk at Franklin Municipal Court. Previously, she worked as a Medical Records Clerk for Crossroads Hospice, demonstrating her attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to navigate complex systems. Additionally, she has pursued continuing education courses through the State of Ohio Auditor’s Office and the Ohio Supreme Court.

Board President Rachel Ruppert-Wolfinbarger welcomed Blevins, stating, “Ashley has shown an unwavering commitment to Franklin City Schools, and we are confident that her leadership, experience, and dedication will serve our students and community well.”

Blevins will officially take her seat at the next Board of Education meeting on March 10. The Franklin City Schools community looks forward to her contributions as the district continues its mission to provide innovative and inclusive education opportunities for all students.
