LEBANON, OH — Warren County Park District hosted its first annual “Friendsgiving” Supporter Appreciation Gathering on Sunday November 9 at Armco Park in Lebanon to thank volunteers and partners for their contributions. With the help of supporters, the Park District has positively impacted lives on 7,400 occasions through its nature programs and logged 978 volunteer hours this year.

In addition, the Park District also partners with other local organizations who host their own programs and activities in the Park District, increasing the options available to our community. Supporters attending the “Friendsgiving” event shared details of their Park District partnership work with the group and enjoyed networking and forming new connections with each other.

Park District CEO Matt Latham and Nature Education Supervisor Shannon Pennington provided a recap of programs held so far in 2025, and a preview of what’s to come in 2026. This preview included exciting grant- and donor-funded projects made possible by partnerships with several groups in attendance.

A potential new Armco Park dog park, new bike trail connection to Armco Park along SR 741, plus wetland habitat restoration and multi-use trail work at Landen-Deerfield Park in Maineville, are all in process thanks to these partnerships.

Pennington commented, “Your efforts have made an impact! With your help, many new people are learning about our Park District and everything we have to offer. We would not be able to reach this many people without your participation.”
