WARREN COUNTY, OH -- The Warren County Park District's Cops and Bobbers event continues to grow larger each year .... and this year 's event was no different.

"It was our largest crowd to date .. by over 100 people!" Shannon Pennington, Warren County Park District's Nature Education Supervisor noted.

Pennington shared that the total number of people who participated was 506, with the total number of kids ages 0 to 16 being 283. The breakdown for the fishing derby is below....

  • Ages 0 through 6:  84
  • Ages 7 through 11: 130
  • Ages 12through 16: 69

"We had perfect weather ... and there was so much great feedback from participants," Pennington noted, explaining that it was due to the help and support from the Community Partners that really helped make it successful.

Pennington noted that along with the 45 volunteers that were stationed throughout park helping out in various ways, there were community partners that helped out to make the event special.
