"Expo Fidjrossé" emerged from a personal project undertaken by Neal Rosenthal and The Mad Rose Foundation, a family organization, in West Africa during 2019. As curator, he recounts spending several days in the company of an informal artists’ collaborative situated in the Fidjrossé district of Cotonou, Benin's commercial capital. Benin, once Dahomey, a former French colony, resides on the Gulf of Guinea, bordered by Nigeria to the south, Togo to the north, and Burkina Faso and Niger to the east. Historically, Benin served as a notorious departure point for slave ships bound for Brazil, the Caribbean, and the USA. Despite this history, a palpable joy and positive energy infuse everyday life in this locale, a spirit reflected in the works of the group of young artists encountered there.

The rain this Friday is the reason I finally read the whole Thursday-to-Wednesday list instead of stopping at the headline. If you are coming from Lebanon or Mason, the useful split is indoor rooms versus anything that still depends on a patio. Heather's "On the Patio" is a great Thursday habit when it is dry.
Light rain, with a high of 80 and low of 67 degrees. Light rain during the morning, overcast during the afternoon, light rain overnight.
