WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Residents at Liberty Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in West Chester, hosted a baked sale and raised over $100 for the Alzheimer’s Association that encompasses the Warren County area. The seniors helped make the baked goods and sold them at a local coffee shop.
All proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association for their Longest Day Challenge to help outshine the darkness of the disease through fundraising activities on the day with the most light – the summer solstice. Funds raised help advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
“Many of our residents are lifelong volunteers and it brings them joy to continue their commitment to community service,” said Amy Snow, life engagement director for Liberty Place. “They jumped at the chance to feel productive and brighten someone’s day with a sweet treat.”
