LEBANON, OH -- As part of its strategic planning effort, Warren County Park District has released an online survey so that residents can sound off about what they would like to see when it comes to parks, open space, and trails in Warren County.
“As we consider the future direction of Warren County Park District, we want to make sure that our plans respond to the needs and desires of the people we serve,” said Matt Latham, Park District CEO. “For us to get the most accurate representation of what County residents are looking for, we would like as many as possible to respond to the survey.”
According to Latham, the purposes of the strategic plan are to refine the Park District’s mission and vision, identify goals and objectives for the next ten years, and to determine what Latham calls the Park District's “unique value proposition.”
“To me, the unique value proposition is the most important outcome of this process,” said Latham. “It’s meant to pinpoint the unique strengths that the Park District brings to the table, so that we can complement, and not compete with, the great work that other park agencies in the area are already doing.”
The survey can be accessed through the Park District’s website, www.warrencountyparks.com, and will be available through August 30.
“Parks, open space, and trails are essential community services that contribute to the community’s physical, mental, economic, and environmental health,” said Latham. “Our goal is to do our part, within our mission, to keep Warren County among the best places in Ohio to live, work, and do business.”
Warren County Park District is a county-wide park and green space provider, managing 1,721 acres in 13 parks across the county including its flagship parks, Armco and Landen-Deerfield. It is governed by a three-member volunteer Board of Park Commissioners, appointed by the County Probate Judge.
