MASON, OH -- Dignitaries participated in a ceremonial ribbon cutting as part of the “Unveiling the Future presented by Great American Insurance Group” event Sunday at the transformed Lindner Family Tennis Center ahead of the Cincinnati Open beginning Tuesday.
Beemok cofounders and Cincinnati Open owners Ben and Kelly Navarro were joined for the ribbon cutting at the new Champions Court by President of Beemok Sports & Entertainment and Cincinnati Open Tournament Director Bob Moran, Cincinnati Open Chief Operating Officer Jansen Dell, City of Mason Mayor Diana Nelson, Warren County Commissioner Dave Young, Ohio State Representative Adam Mathews, ATP legends Andre Agassi and Bob and Mike Bryan and WTA legends Sloane Stephens and Stefanie Graf.
World No. 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner had the honor of cutting the ribbon with the Navarros.
“It is our great pleasure to declare the transformed Lindner Family Tennis Center ready for play,” Moran said. “There are countless individuals who have been instrumental in completing this project in just 11 months, from the Cincinnati Open staff, led by COO Jansen Dell, to the teams at Gensler, Barton Malow and all their contractors and our partners at the City of Mason, Warren County and the State of Ohio.
“Tennis might be an individual sport, but this was truly a team effort. We are excited to welcome our fans and players back to enjoy all the new amenities over the next two weeks and beyond as this venue serves as the center of racquet sports in the Midwest.”
The $260 million investment in the Cincinnati Open’s facility doubled the campus acreage to more than 40 acres. The venue has grown to now have 31 outdoor tennis courts, a six-court indoor facility, pickleball and padel courts. During the Cincinnati Open, the Clubhouse will host players with dining and lounge space, then later will become a public-use facility with a restaurant, bar, function rooms, pro shops and locker room space. Additional work on the venue included the construction of a permanent fan Pavilion, extensive landscaping, the replacement of all asphalt with concrete and more.
The Cincinnati Open is proudly supported by its cornerstone partners: Western & Southern Financial Group, Credit One Bank, Procter & Gamble, Great American Insurance Group, Fifth Third and Kroger.
