Landsman Taps Former Councilmember, HUD Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Development Reggie Harris as New Chief of Staff
WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Congressman Greg Landsman announced that Reggie Harris will become the Chief of Staff for Ohio’s First Congressional District.
"Reggie is a uniquely talented and decent person who knows how to lead, bring people together, and get things done. At a time when politics seems broken, Reggie offers an optimistic approach to public service and will be a great addition to our team," Landsman said, adding, "We are determined to be a new kind of national leader - fully accountable, transparent, reliable, and bipartisan - and Reggie will help us make this happen."
Reggie Harris was a Biden-Harris Presidential Appointee to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Development. Before joining the administration, he was a Cincinnati City Council Member who, during his tenure, chaired the Budget and Finance Committee and the Equitable Growth & Housing Committee. As a clinical social worker and nonprofit leader, Reggie has worked in affordable housing development, LGBTQ homelessness, housing case management, and behavioral health therapy.
"Greg is a much-needed pragmatic, level-headed, thoughtful, and consensus-building leader. It is an honor to serve the constituents of Southwest Ohio by supporting Greg’s efforts to improve the lives of children and families, reduce healthcare costs, and ensure safe, thriving communities filled with economic opportunities," said Harris.
