Author Cheri Brinkman shares Ham Hawaiian from her published book Cincinnati and Soup: Modern Times
LEBANON, OH -- "Looking for a new idea for leftovers for that Holiday Ham? This is a fun one with a different twist," writes Brinkman in her new book Cincinnati and Soup: Modern Times.
The recipe calls for:
- 6 slices or 2 cups of pieces of the leftover ham
- 1 1/2 cups of pinapple tidbits
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 - 1 jar of orange ginger sauce or sweet sour sauce
- white rice
Directions:
- Sauté the the onions and peppers until soft
- Add the ham and which ever sauce you chose
- Heat through
- Serve over rice
