WARREN COUNTY, OH -- The bi3 (B-I-THREE) Fund, The Joe Burrow Foundation and Interact for Health partnered to engage high school students in developing and participating in activities commemorating World Teen Mental Wellness Day.
World Teen Mental Wellness Day is observed annually to raise awareness for the mental health issues teenagers face daily, promote mental wellness and determine solutions. Mental health struggles, especially anxiety and depression, are common in teenagers.
However, findings show that stigma prevents many teens from seeking help. Many don’t know the resources available in their own schools and communities, and too few know how to engage in self-care.
Several schools that educate Warren County student were among the 83 area high schools that received $1,000. The money that each school received is to be used to help conduct activities that promote mental wellness and determine solutions, such as; planning wellness fairs, hosting speakers, and promoting awareness of resources like the National 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline.
