Alcaraz Wins The Men's Singles 

No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz def. No. 1 Jannik Sinner when Sinner retired due to illness with Alcaraz leading 5-0 in the first set. It's the third time in the all-time history of the tournament for a retirement in the men's final: 2011 (Andy Murray led 6-4, 3-0 when Novak Djokovic retired with a shoulder injury) and 1952 (Noel Brown led 6-4, 0-6, 2-0 when Fred Hagist retired with a muscle strain to his right side).

Alcaraz is now part of the shortest (0:23 in 2025)) and longest (3:49 in 2023) Cincinnati Open finals since 1990. He is the third Spanish man to win the title following Rafael Nadal (2013) and Carlos Moya (2002).

Swiatek Wins The Women's Singles

No. 3 Iga Swiatek defeated (7) Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4 to become the first Polish player to win the women's title. With the title, she moved into second place all-time with 10 WTA 1000 titles, trailing only Serena Williams' 13. She also will move up to No. 2 in the rankings.

Ram and Mektic Win Men's Doubles Title 

Rajeev Ram of Carmel, Indiana near Indianapolis won his second Cincinnati Open men's doubles title (2022), this time with first-time winner Nikola Mektic.

Routliffe and Dabrowski Win Women's Doubles Title
