WARREN COUNTY, OH -- In March, Warren County' Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH) introduced H.R.2480 – the Securing Semiconductor Supply Chains Act. This month it overwhelmingly passed out of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
The bipartisan legislation would direct – SelectUSA – a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce– to work with state-level economic development organizations to develop strategies to attract investment from foreign allies for the U.S. semiconductor industry.
Landsman’s legislation would help address the ongoing semiconductor shortage that has disrupted multiple industries in recent years.
“The U.S. can’t rely on foreign nations to manufacture our semiconductor chips any longer. This commonsense legislation will help attract investment to American companies and strengthen our domestic industries and supply chains,” Landsman said.
The SelectUSA program was established in 2011 to strengthen federal efforts to attract job-creating business investments to the U.S. and support American companies.

Seriously? How about we federalize the National Guard and send them in to round up all the folks that are breaking the law, and let ICE do their job of maintaining the law? Hope you enjoy the redistricting next election, Mr. Landsman.
