WARREN COUNTY, OH - Former State Representative Scott Lipps announced he will seek the Republican nomination for Ohio's 7th Senate District, in 2026; succeeding longtime friend, colleague and ally, Steve Wilson (R-Maineville), who is term-limited. The 7th District contains all of Warren County and a portion of northeastern Hamilton County.
Lipps has a distinguished track record of public service in Warren County. He served on Franklin City Council, as Mayor of Franklin, and as State Representative for Ohio's 62nd House District, for eight years. Scott has owned and managed a small business in Warren County for 35 years and is the proud father of two daughters, a grandfather of three, and continues to be a dedicated member of the Warren County community.
As the ONLY proven conservative in the race, Lipps has amassed significant support from throughout the 7th district including business leaders, Republican party leaders, local and county elected officials, and fellow legislators.
"It was an honor to represent Warren County and southwestern Ohio at the Statehouse. I am proud of my conservative record," Lipps said. "I fought to protect life, to safeguard our Second Amendment rights, cut taxes, against Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM's) and for the rights of our elderly and those living with disabilities...and that is exactly what I will do as YOUR Senator."
The Republican primary election will be held on May 5, 2026. The winner will advance to the general election on November 3, 2026.
