We're hitting the PIG time.
Cincinnati's biggest running weekend of the year is here, as the Flying Pig Marathon gets ready to ham it up in downtown Cincinnati, May 1-3, 2026.
So - what's's the big squeal? Here are some storyline, facts...
- The Oink-igin Story
- The Flying Pig Marathon was first run in 1999 after the event was conceived by Paycor Founder Bob Coughlin and other runners by drawing the proposed course on a cocktail napkin at O’Bryon’s after a training run.
- Snoutstanding Numbers
- More than 45,000 participants are expected to compete in Flying Pig Marathon events, including 64 Streakers, participants who will compete in their 28th consecutive Flying Pig Marathon.
- Ham-bassadors
- Participants of the Flying Pig Marathon represent all 50 states and 30 countries.
- Pigs with Purpose
- The Flying Pig Marathon, a non-profit itself, will help 300+ charities raise more than $1 million this year.
- Filling the Piggy Banks
- The Marathon has an annual $45.9 million in annual economic impact, supporting or sustaining 671 jobs, according to a new study in partnership with the Cincinnati Chamber.
- Swine Time in 2027
- The 29th running of the Flying Pig Marathon will be held on April 30-May 2, 2027.
Bottom line: it's gonna be a ham-dinger.
ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION
Roads in and around race routes will be closed at various times througout the weekend.
