Ohio State Patrol Plans Statewide OVI Checkpoint

COLUMBUS, OH -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that troopers will be conducting a statewide OVI checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers on Thursday, May 14.

The counties where the statewide checkpoints will take place will be announced the day prior to the checkpoints, and locations will be announced the morning of the checkpoints.

If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a sober driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.

Operational support for the statewide checkpoints will be provided by local law enforcement agencies.
