WEST CHESTER, OH -- While much of the nation is powering through the hot, sultry days of summer, a local memory care community found a way to beat the heat. Residents at Liberty Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in West Chester celebrated the Dog Days of Summer with a weeklong tribute to pups.

They kicked off the week of activities by making doggie bags to donate to Angel’s Paws, a local pet hospice. The summer fun includes dog trivia, squirt gun practice, visits from furry friends, pupsicles, beach ball hockey and more.

“This is a fun way to take our minds off the heat and reminisce about summers past,” said Amy Snow, life engagement director for Liberty Place. “Many of our residents are lifelong animal lovers and creating doggie treat bags makes them feel productive. This gives them a chance to continue to make a difference to others.”

Liberty Place is located at 7200 Heritagespring Drive, West Chester, OH.
