WEST CHESTER, OH -- When Carolyn and Robert Hollon recited their vows almost 60 years ago, they promised to love each other through sickness and in health. Carolyn, now living with dementia, and Robert joined four other couples on Feb. 20 at Liberty Place to reaffirm their commitment to love and honor their spouses at a vow renewal.

Liberty Place, an Anthem Memory Care community located at 7200 Heritagespring Drive, West Chester allowed each couple to march down the aisle to the same music from their wedding years ago.

“Dementia doesn’t diminish their love. The ceremony helped back good memories for them and reminded them how special it is to be with someone they love despite the challenges,” said Amy Snow, life engagement director for Liberty Place. “We were honored to help plan this joyful occasion for these couples.”
