MASON, OH -- During the sixth annual Platt Rogers Spencer Penmanship Competition, Mars Hill Academy second and third grade students transcribed “The Lamb” by William Blake, and students in grades 4-6 transcribed Psalm 19:1-6.

In honor of the originator of the popular Spencerian cursive method, students were judged on the quality of their penmanship. Students begin learning cursive at MHA in second grade.

Congratulations to this year's penmanship contest winners Livvy Davis of Mason, grade 2; Caroline Guckes of West Chester Twp., grade 5; Ethan Hwang of Cincinnati, grade 6; Sydel Belcher of Cincinnati, grade 3; and Caroline Leonard of Liberty Twp., grade 4.
