The 4th Annual Back The Blue Event Will Be Held At The Barrel In Springboro On Saturday

The 4th Annual Back The Blue fundraiser will be held at The Barrel on Saturday.  Dawn Roskovich, co-owner of the The Barrel, said that the fundraiser supports a lot of different things including families Of fallen officers and it also helps with  new equipment.   

Roskovich said that this fundraiser is very important for the community to come together and back these men and women that wear the uniform and the badge.  "With the way Society is nowadays I believe it’s very important for these officers to know that they have a strong army behind them that supports them," she said.  

Roskovich said that she was raised to respect the law and the badge and I feel that people need to stand up and teach their children the same thing.  "This fundraiser is very important for the community to come together and back these men and women that wear the uniform and the badge," she said.  Roskovich also said that there are a lot of police officers who support THe Barrel by coming to have a drink or just eating dinner.   "And I want them to know that we are behind them 100 percent," she said.  

There will be several local musical acts playing throughout the day.  The music schedule is below. 

12-1  Heath Bowling 

1:30-2:30  Route 88 

3-4  Fireball Ridge 

4:30-5:30  Rob Gray 

6-7  Short of Stable 

7:30-8:30  The Jay Clark band 

9-10:30  Until Rust w/ 9Eight Central 

There will be many items that will be raffled off or a part of the silent auction.  

Raffle tickets are on sale now for three handguns for $1o each.  The person who has the first ticket drawn will get the first pick of the three guns.  There will also be a raffle for a 70 inch television with a Xbox One and a raffle for a 70 inch television with a PlayStation 4.  Tickets at $10 each.  

There is a limited number of The Barrel thin blue line shirt (pictured below) that will be sold for $20 each.  The shirts were created 937 Ink.  The Barrel is also selling Back The Blue wristbands for $3 each.  

Social distancing will be in place at the event and people will have to wear a mask.  Roskovich said there will be a huge tent extending off the patio to allow people to spread out.  The Little Boijon Asian Cuisine food truck will also be there.

The 4th Annual Back The Blue will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday.  The Barrel is located at 857 W. Central Avenue in Springboro.
