Local Lawn Care Company Celebrates 25th Anniversary While Placing As #9 In The Nation for Best Place To Work
WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Ziehler Lawn Care, who is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, just received a nice surprise from the national digital magazine LAWNANDLANDSCAPE.COM. The company came in #9 for Best Places to Work in the country for 2024.
"Companies in the industry entered the two-part process to win. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation," explained Mary Grace Shisler, Ziehler Lawn Care Marketing Manager.
Shisler went on to explain, "the second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings."
According techreport.com, "As of 2022, over 636,000 lawn care and yard companies exist in America." And of that, 23,251 are in Ohio, according to www.ibisworld.com.
"Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings," Shisler noted.
Started by Centerville graduate Andrew Ziehler 25 years ago as a college student doing landscaping and lawn care, Ziehler has grown his business into lawn care only and is considered a small business, employing less than 50 employees.
Ziehler has grown family business from a one office location in Centerville to two office location — with the second now open in Loveland. While his offices maybe outside of Warren County, his trucks and product team are stationed here in the county on Lytle Five-Points in the Clearcreek and Wayne Township areas.
"As a local company servicing Dayton and Cincinnati, this is a great achievement," Shisler said.
