Settler Survival Camp Halfway Sold Out

DAYTON, OH -- The Miami Valley comes to life from an early settler’s perspective during this one-of-a-kind summer camp. Campers explore early travel methods, hearth-cooking, woodworking, textiles, gardening, and candle-dipping — and enjoy a special visit with sheep, herding dogs, and more from Learning Tree Farm. Camp is only for children ages 8-12 and takes place daily, 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. All proceeds benefit Dayton History.

Registration for Settler Survival Camp at Carillon Historical Park is now open. All three weeks are more than halfway sold out, so if children ages 8 to 12 would like to attend, we encourage parents to sign up now.

  • Week 1: July 6 to 10
  • Week 2: July 13 to 17
  • Week 3: July 20 to 24
