WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Both Harveysburg and Waynesville have issues on this upcoming ballot.
Harveysburg residents have three issues to vote on:
- Issue 20 Harveysburg Electric Aggregation The question reads... "Shall the Village of Harveysburg have the authority to aggregate the retail electric loads located in the incorporated areas of the Village of Harveysburg, and for that purpose,
enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of electricity, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt out?" - Issue 21 Harveysburg Village Ren & Increase 3 mills 5 years. The question reads..."A renewal of 2.5 mills and an increase of 0.5 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the Village of Harveysburg for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.30 for each one
hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2023, first due in calendar year 2024." - Issue 22 Harveysburg Police Ren & Increase 2.5 mills 5 years. The question reads..."A renewal of 2.5 mills and an increase of 0.5 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the Village of Harveysburg for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.30 for each one
hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2023, first due in calendar year 2024."
Waynesville has four issues on which to vote:
- Issue 23 Waynesville Electric Aggregation. The question reads ... "Shall Village of Waynesville have the authority to aggregate the retail electric loads located in the Village, and for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of electricity, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person
elects to opt-out?" - Issue 24 Waynesville Gas Aggregation. The issue reads... "Shall Village of Waynesville have the authority to aggregate the retail natural gas loads located in the Village, and for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of natural gas, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt- out?"
- Issue 25 Waynesville Police Ren 7 mills 5 years. The question reads..."A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Village of Waynesville for the purpose of providing and maintaining motor vehicles, communications, and other equipment used directly in the operations of a police department, and the payment of salaries and benefits of
permanent police personnel, at a rate not exceeding 7 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.70 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2023, first due in calendar year 2024." - Issue 26 Waynesville Street Ren 1 mill 5 years. The question reads... "A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Village of Waynesville for the purpose of providing for the general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads,
and bridges at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2023, first due in calendar year 2024."
