WAYNESVILLE, OH -- It's hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone and 2024 is here. And, if this is the weekend you are taking down your live Christmas tree and wondering what to do with it, Caesar Creek State Park is happy to take it off your hands.
Ceasar Creek State Park is partnering with the Division of Wildlife to recycle Christmas Trees back into the park. These trees are used to help create habitat for all the wildlife that lives in the park.
According to the parks Facebook page, all you need to do is bring your UNDECORATED tree to the park between now and January 15th. Park officials are asking that you double check to be sure that no ornaments, tags, or other items are left on the trees since these type of items can be very harmful or even kill the wildlife that the tree is meant to be helping.
The designated area to drop off the tree is at the North Pool Boat Ramp, located near the public beach. The Christmas Tree drop off area is a large grassy spot, marked with signs, located at the end of North Pool Boat Ramp.
If you're unfamiliar with the park/area or have any questions, please call the Park Office at 513-897-3055.
