Friends, family and neighbors are invited to a dedication for a memorial bench being installed at the Museum at the Friends Home on May 8th.  

Dr. Alfred Evan Stout (1906-1962) had his practice in Waynesville from 1936 to 1952. He was truly a "Country Doctor." 

He made many house calls, often accepted payment in the form of produce or livestock. During his practice, he delivered over 1,300 babies.
