CARLISLE, OH -- The 6th grade class at Carlisle Local Schools had an exciting and educational adventure at Camp Joy from April 23–25. Students tackled the challenges of the ropes course, soared down the zip line, and worked together during group initiative activities, building confidence and teamwork along the way.
In addition to the outdoor fun, students attended engaging classes like Everchanging Earth and Forest Ecology, where they explored topics such as the Earth's timeline, fossils, native plants, animals, and much more.
A nighttime hike offered a unique opportunity to experience the woods using senses other than sight, giving students a deeper appreciation for nature at night. The trip wrapped up with a classic campfire, complete with skits and s'mores!
It was a memorable trip for all, and this beloved tradition continues to be a highlight of the Carlisle student experience.
