The 2025 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ohio & Special Olympics Kentucky is Saturday, January 25th from 10:00am- 1:00pm with registration starting at 9:00am at The Banks, 150 East Freedom Way. Polar plungers will take an icy dip in an 18’ x 9’ x 52” pool to raise funds to support programs for the athletes from both states.
In its fourth year, the festivities will include music, coffee trucks, and the always entertaining costume contest before the plunge.
The Greater Cincinnati Polar Plunge is one of eight that have been scheduled to take place in communities across Ohio from January through March. Participants are invited to either take part in-person or virtually with their teams in support of the 20,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout Ohio. Participation in the in-person or virtual event is open by visiting greatercincinnatiplunge.com.
The impact of the Polar Plunge supports year-round sports training and competition, health education and leadership programs for Special Olympics athletes. By fundraising $75 or more, participants help provide opportunities for athletes at no cost to them while creating a greater sense of belonging for everyone in the community.
