LEBANON, OH -- Every third Wednesday of the month, Harmon Museum offers a Lunch and Learn event at its Armstrong Conference Center located within the museum's campus. This month's program has renowned historic presenter John Cooper, who inhabits the character of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, as its special speaker.
Lincoln’s ties to the Miami Valley are deep; from his 1859 visit to Dayton, to his friendship with Lebanon’s own Thomas Corwin, he viewed the region as the "garden spot of the world." Cooper will regale us with the wit, humility, and intellectual rigor that defined the Lincoln presidency.
Lincoln’s presence reminds us of a time when leadership was measured by the "better angels of our nature" rather than the volume of one's grievances. Come witness a portrayal of an Executive who understood that the weight of the Union required a steady hand, a quiet mind, and faith in its people.
