WARREN COUNTY, OH – Dan Beard Council, Scouting America will host its annual Good Scout Award Luncheon on Wednesday, May 7, 2026, at the First Financial Center in downtown Cincinnati, celebrating 35 years of distinguished Good Scout Honorees and the impact of Scouting across the region.
This year’s luncheon, the council’s largest annual fundraiser, will bring together business and community leaders to recognize the legacy of individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, integrity, and commitment to youth development.
The event will feature a keynote address from Hall of Fame radio announcer Marty Brennaman, longtime voice of the Cincinnati Reds, who will share reflections on leadership, perseverance, and community impact.
In a unique format for this milestone year, several past Good Scout Honorees will participate in a live on-stage conversation, highlighting why they continue to support Scouting and the importance of developing strong leaders for the future.
Proceeds from the luncheon directly support more than 11,000 local Scouts served by the Dan Beard Council. Through Scouting programs, youth gain critical life skills including leadership, character development, and service to others preparing them to make a positive impact in their communities.
“This event is not only a celebration of our honorees, but also a powerful reminder of the role Scouting plays in shaping the next generation of leaders,” states Andy Zahn, CEO and Scout Executive of Dan Beard Council. “The continued support of our community ensures that thousands of young people have access to these life-changing opportunities.”
