LOVELAND, OH -- CancerFree KIDS is pulling an all-nighter once again to raise money for innovative childhood cancer research with breakthrough potential. The 14th annual Night for the Fight presented by TQL Foundation is Saturday, March 7 at Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati. The overnight event runs from 7:00pm to 7:00am and engages students in one of the organization’s largest fundraisers of the year.

More than 1,000 local high school students representing dozens of area schools are expected to participate in the student-led event, which is planned by students, for students. Participants stay overnight at Fifth Third Arena taking part in games, challenges, speakers, and personal reflections while raising critical funds and awareness to support pediatric cancer research.

Students participate on teams and must secure an adult chaperone to be present during the event. The overnight experience not only raises funding but inspires the next generation to join the fight against childhood cancer.

In its 14-year history, Night for the Fight has raised more than $3 million for innovative pediatric cancer research. Fifteen research grants named in honor of the event at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital have gone on to receive more than $13.5 million in subsequent funding, leading to eight scientific publications, three patents, and two clinical trials.

CancerFree KIDS funds promising research initiatives aimed at developing more effective and gentler treatments for childhood cancer. Many of these early-stage projects would go unfunded without community support.
