Meet Sterling ... A Treeing Walker Coonhound

Image

MASON, OH -- Sterling is approximately 3-years-old and slightly underweight at 50 pounds. Gaining weight shouldn't be a problem, though, as he is a champion eater, scarfing down his food quickly and extremely motivated to find more!

Sterling will do best in a home with adults and older kids and because of his eating habits and stubborn streak, he is better fed away from other dogs. Sterling does not like cats and is not fond of being alone while in his crate, but his foster says he is great with kids and gets along with the two other dogs in the home.

Before coming to HART, Sterling spent most of his life on his own, so a home with an experienced handler is preferred to help him adjust to a life indoors filled with play time and snuggles with his family.

Sterling is a smart boy with lots of potential who would love to become a part of your family. Please complete an application on the HART website to meet Sterling: www.rescueahart.org.

To help HART perform its mission, WarrenCountyPost.com will be "Spotlighting" an animal that needs a Forever Home on a weekly basis. To learn more about HART visit their website here.
