MHA hosts Art Show and Humanities Night

MASON, OH -- The annual Mars Hill Academy Art Show and Humanities Night featured selected works of art by rhetoric art students in grades 9-12, as well as Humanities project presentations from students in grades 9-11.

Senior Micah Dowdy of Maineville won the Best of Show award for her oil painting entitled, "Norwegian Wood."

Junior Sadie Miller of Maineville presents "Fantastic or Failure? The American Two-Party System" during Mars Hill Academy Art Show and Humanities Night.

Each student in grades 9-11 researches a humanities topic, writes a paper, and then delivers a presentation in class. During the evening, select students presented their humanities projects before an audience. MHA's Humanities courses are combined English and History studies. The Humanities sequence consists of Antiquity, Christendom, Early American, and Modernity.
