MASON, OH -- The annual Mars Hill Academy Art Show and Humanities Night featured selected works of art by rhetoric art students in grades 9-12, as well as Humanities project presentations from students in grades 9-11.
Art students self-selected pieces created throughout the year to display. Senior Micah Dowdy won the Best of Show award for her oil painting entitled, "Norwegian Wood."
Each student in grades 9-11 researches a humanities topic, writes a paper, and then delivers a presentation in class. During the evening, select students presented their humanities projects before an audience. MHA's Humanities courses are combined English and History studies. The Humanities sequence consists of Antiquity, Christendom, Early American, and Modernity.
