Sara was 59 years old, a lauded interior designer and mother of three when she lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in September of 2023. She was raising her 4-year-old grandson full-time when she learned of her diagnosis. Her last hope (after beating cancer, of course) was to ensure Carter had no barriers in life and higher education.
