The Butler County Coalition for Suicide Prevention through Envision Partnerships will host their 7th annual Walk to Remember from 6:30-8 p.m. Sept. 4 at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, 1763 Hamilton Cleves Road. The event is outdoors and will be occurring rain or shine.

A Walk to Remember is a special event designed for those whose lives have been affected by suicide to come together to find connection and hope through their shared experiences. The walk is a free event and all are welcome to attend. Walk together in memory of loved ones. With a donation of $25 or more to Envision Partnerships, a person is eligible to receive the 7th annual Walk to Remember t-shirt at the event as a token of appreciation.

In addition to the candlelit walk, this year will feature a panel of three local suicide loss survivors moderated by Rachel Canepa of the Butler County Mental Health Addiction Recovery Services Board. There will be resource tables that offer support.

The 7th annual Walk to Remember is providing an opportunity for participants to provide support to the Butler County LOSS/DOSS Team (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors/Drug Overdose Survivor Support). Butler County launched this team last year to help the bereaved navigate their healing journey. This team offers scene response, survivor support and a grief support group specific to the needs of these traumatic losses.
