GREAT SYMPHONY CONCERTS CLOSE TO HOME: EASY TO GET TO AND REASONABLE PRICES

WARREN COUNTY, OH -- My husband and I decided that we needed a night out. Our choice, as it has been for many years, was the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Center ( 1W 2 ND St Dayton 45402 ) SuperPops concert.

SuperPops is just one of the many concerts offered by the DPO in its series that include Classical, Rock, as well as the Dayton Ballet and Opera (DPAA)... there are presentations for all tastes and
interests.

That night the SuperPops played HOLLYWOOD HITS, which was a concert of Movie Themes and songs from the Great Movies. This included a James Bond medley, a Henry Mancini Tribute and famous themes from Out of Africa, Dr. Zhivago and ET just to name a few of the pieces played. Definitely something for everyone.

Ticket prices for this concert start at $25.50 and go up from there, however, there are some discounts... including for seniors.

The concerts performed by this wonderful orchestra are only 27 miles and about 33 minutes from our home in Warren County. Much faster than to Cincinnati and easy parking for $10.00, which is always available and right next to the Center. You never have to worry about finding a
place to park or stress over the walk as it is right across the street from the Concert venue.

Getting home is also no problem, as the Schuster is about 4 blocks off of I-75 . This has become our favorite concert venue in recent years as it is so convenient and the building is modern and comfortable with newer restrooms and bar facilities. There is also a STARBUCKS in the building, and valet parking is available, if needed.

A quick note: The wonderful long time conductor Neal Gittleman is retiring this year and in the next few weeks will conduct his final DPO concerts. This fall, he will be succeeded by Keitaro Harada, the exciting young conductor who was formerly an Associate Conductor with the
Cincinnati Symphony and is a rising international star.

Definitely worth the trip to Dayton to check out the DPO this season or next!
