WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Did you know that Warren County sits in-between two major "turkey" runs that happen on Thanksgiving Morning? This year, on Nov., 27 2025, the annual Turkey Trot in Miamisburg and Cincinnati's annual Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day Race are both happening.
The Turkey Trout, in its 47th year according to Maimisburg's City Website, is presented by the Ohio River Runners Club, while the Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day Race in Cincinnati has been happening since 1908, making it one of the oldest races in the country.
The Turkey Trot consist of two races: a 5-Mile Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. (There is also a virtual race, which can be learned about on the clubs website.) The race begins promptly at 8:30 a.m and starts at the intersection of Main Street and Water Street. It finishes at Riverfront Park.

Through these funds, The Club is able to providing free/low-cost races to children and adults all over the Miami Valley and to encourage healthy lifestyles and spread the joy of running.
The 2025 Western & Southern Thanksgiving Day Race is set for Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, at TQL Stadium. This event features three races:
Both The W&S 10K and Chick-fil-A 5K Run/Walk races start at 9:00 am, while the ProAmpac Kids Fun Run (ages 5-10) starts at 8:30 am. While the races start on the east side of TQL Stadium, they will finish on the west side of the stadium where The Pella Party (Post-race Party) will happen.
