WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Ohio Wildlife Officer Jacob Losekamp, of Oregonia, has been assigned to Warren County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. He replaces Ohio Wildlife Officer Jason Keller, who was recently promoted to Law Operations Manager in southwest Ohio.
Officer Losekamp, 26, is a graduate from Middletown Christian School and then Wittenberg University in 2020 with a degree in sociology (criminology focus). A 2024 graduate of the Wildlife Officer Academy, Officer Losekamp previously served in Hamilton County.
As a wildlife officer, Losekamp has statewide authority to enforce wildlife regulations and protect state lands, waterways, and property. He also contributes to public safety both locally in southwest Ohio and in Ohio’s vast outdoors. Each year, Ohio’s wildlife officers speak to hundreds of clubs and groups about conservation and wildlife programs; perform fish and wildlife surveys; and provide technical advice and instruction about hunting, fishing, and other outdoor-related recreation.
